Chesham United, Taunton Town and Beaconsfield SYCOB are the EVO-STIK League Southern's final Team of the Month Award winners of 2016!

The clubs were unveiled on Friday as December's winners of the monthly honours which are sponsored by the Southern League's title sponsors EVO-STIK to recognise and reward the top performers among the 68 clubs playing in the Premier, Division One Central and Division One South & West divisions.

Like all performance kings, the trio are now looking forward to being presented with cut glass trophies to record their achievements and 4.5L bottles of Bell's Whisky to celebrate their success with at upcoming fixtures in 2017 by representatives of the league and sponsors EVO-STIK.

After their heroics in the Emirates FA Cup earned Chesham United October's honours in the EVO-STIK League Southern's top flight, manager Andy Leese and his side won for a second time with a run of three wins and a draw to take 10 points from a possible 12 and set their sights firmly on the play-offs spots.

Scoring 17 goals and conceding just three along the way to make the most of the games in hand they enjoy, the Generals recorded big wins over Hayes & Yeading and Basingstoke Town and were unlucky to draw 2-2 draw at Biggleswade Town after leading until the last minute before beating Kings Langley 5-2 at home in their final outing of the year on Boxing Day.

Taunton Town are also rounding of 2016 with a second win after collecting October's honours for their own run to the first round of Emirates FA Cup under manager Leigh Robinson.

To win again, the Peacocks won all six of their outings in EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West over the last four weeks while entertaining fans from The Viridor Stadium with 24 goals scored and just three conceded.

Beaconsfield SYCOB earned December's laurels in the EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One Central Division, and their first of the season, with an equally impressive run of six straight wins.

Scoring 25 goals and conceding just three times, the run into the festive period lifted the Rams and joint managers Andy Hurley and Leigh Wooldridge to within eight points of the promotion slots as they head into 2017.
