All in all..a Good Day

Delighted

Tiverton Town boss Martyn Rogers described himself as delighted at how his side overcame second-placed King’s Lynn Town on Saturday.

The Yellows had done well to keep the score at 0-0, with on-loan Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Alexis Andre Jr winning the man of the match award before they won the game late on thanks to Tom Bath’s goal and it kept them in the hunt for a top-five finish this season.

After going down 3-0 at home to Kettering Town last Tuesday with 10 men, Rogers was impressed with how his side bounced back.

He said: “I was delighted with that, it was a good performance and a good result.

“All-in-all, it was a good day.

“Alexis did his job and kept a clean sheet but I was delighted with everybody.

“We’ve had two good home wins against two sides in the top five, so I’m delighted.

“I think the Kettering game, to be fair, wasn’t a 3-0 game – we ran them close and the score didn’t reflect the game.

“Having a man sent off didn’t help but, all in all, I think the boys have done terrifically.”
